01Introduction

Shri Chandra Jyoti Janki Seva Sansthan (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it.

By using this website or sending us your details, you agree to the practices described here.

02Information you give us

We only collect personal information that you choose to share with us:

  • Enquiry form — your name, mobile number, email address (optional), the subject you choose (such as volunteering or sponsorship) and your message.
  • Newsletter — your email address.

Please do not include sensitive information, such as health, financial or identity document details, in your message.

03Information collected automatically

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

If you choose a language other than English, a small “googtrans” cookie remembers your choice so the next page opens in the same language. Choosing English again removes it.

Like most websites, the servers that host this site may record basic technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit — to keep the website secure and working properly.

04How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and follow up on it.
  • To coordinate volunteering, sponsorship or partnership conversations you start with us.
  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to.
  • To keep a record of the enquiries we receive.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose you have not asked for.

05Where your information is stored

Enquiries and newsletter sign-ups are stored in the website management system provided by our technology partner. Access is limited to authorised members of our team, and to our partner where needed to maintain the system.

06Third-party services

Some features of this website are provided by other companies, whose own privacy policies apply:

  • Google Fonts — the fonts on this site are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Google Maps — the map in the footer is loaded from Google.
  • Google Translate — only if you choose another language from the language menu, the page text is sent to Google to be translated.
  • WhatsApp and social media — these services receive information only when you choose to open a link to them.

07How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our records. Newsletter addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them.

08Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask to stop receiving our newsletter.

We handle these requests in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

09Children

This website is not intended for children to submit information. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us your details.

10Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
